Andy is an expert at helping clients navigate crisis, difficult relationships, and manipulative individuals. He works best with thoughtful, responsible adults who are navigating high-pressure lives, complex relationships, or significant life transitions.
Clients describe Andy as approachable, direct, and realistic in his counseling methods. He relates particularly well to men and women who are hesitant to attend therapy. Andy works closely with many of Nashville’s elite executives, attorneys, medical professionals, musicians, and athletes.
Before launching Freestone River, Andy founded and led a successful group practice in Nashville, managing a team of outstanding clinicians. After nearly 20 years at the helm, he stepped away from business ownership to focus his full attention on the work he values most: helping clients create real and lasting change.
Andy lives in Franklin, TN with his wife and two children. They are an active family who enjoy camping, hiking, and travel. Andy is an avid fly fisherman and licensed fly fishing guide. Outside of his counseling practice, Andy leads yearlong professional development and grief cohorts, each culminating in a three-day guided fly fishing trip in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
